What type of fuel pump is this and where can I get a replacement. None of the replacement fuel pumps look like this.
1965 Ford F100
Inline 6 4.9L
I don't think that's the original style fuel pump as it should have had a built-in filter canister. Napa online shows a pump like what I think of as more stock appearing when I choose 1965 F100 4.9L
If you run a pump like this I think you'd want a separate fuel filter in-line to capture any crud. Otherwise probably doesn't matter as far as function goes.
The fuel pump is from a 1978/85 300 I-6. Here's a pic (lower) of the original. Inside the canister is a corrugated paper cartridge fuel filter
If the carb is also from a 1978/85, the fuel filter threads into the front of it.
But if the carb is the original, the fuel filter (if it has one) used with this 1978 and later pump, would be an in-line type, spliced into the fuel line by a previous owner.
