Auxiliary Leaf Springs
Has anybody mounted the auxiliary leaf springs that the Super Duties with the camper package have? They are the springs on top of the main leaf pack and have significantly more arch. There are also pads that mount to the side of the frame the act as a jounce bumper to the spring.
I do not want airbags because of having to inflate them all the time, and I do not want to install on board air.

I've had them in the past, they do add unsprung weight and they are always "there". If hauling heavy is a constant thing, you might like them. When unloaded and they just are weight they do add more weight bouncing with the axle for the shocks to control. I now prefer the air if anything but I seldom haul heavy enough to benefit from them on my trucks, but I do use the Air Lifts on my Merc occasionally, they don't loose air and I like the adjustability. If I did haul heavy enough often enough to make me want to add the aux. leaf spring packs like on a F250 or F350 ..... I'ld have a F250 or 350.
