Has anyone used aftermarket mirrors instead of OEM? If so, what company? And if not, who would you recommend buying OEM from. I'm not in the position to purchase 2008 mirrors unless it's a really good price so try not to have the thread go that direction. Thanks.
Several of us here have bought the '08+ style from 1AAuto.com, their rep here is 1Atony. My mirrors are the power (movement, not extend and fold), heated with signals and were totally plug and play with my '05 EX XLT. They are very good quality and are a huge improvement over the earlier tow mirrors and those little paddle mirrors like I originally had.
Thanks, I already had tow mirrors and some jack wagon decided he wanted the drivers side for the front of his truck. Insurance is telling me I have a $500.00 deductible and will not replace them with OEM. So, I may be purchasing the aftermarket myself and installing. Sounds fairly easy.
Thanks again, I just bit the bullet and bought these. Way less money than the OEM for 2005 and I also get the larger view for towing. I'm pretty sure I can get over the fact that there is not a small oval embossed somewhere in the plastic that would never get seen anyways.

Are these really *that* much better than the stock tow mirrors on my '00? Mine are pretty fantastic. I can see so well with these things that I don't even miss not having a rear view mirror.
I purchased the brand APS towing mirrors off Amazon. They plugged just plugged in, bolted up perfect, they don't vibrate while going down the road, and we're very easy to install.

I had the little paddles mirrors on mine when I bought it, then upgraded to a set of '05 tow mirrors, obviously a huge improvement. Later I upgraded again to these '08+ mirrors and they are very much better than the older style of tow mirrors, someone here did a side by side to show how much larger the mirror surfaces were. The bottom section is now so large you could just use it by itself!
Plus the new ones have the cool as heck running lights and turn signals and mine came with some really snazzy chrome caps too!

I went from the paddle mirrors straight to the 08 style, it was a massive improvement! Props to 1Aauto, they do a nice job!
Plus the look of them just really updates the look of the truck. I'm not a huge fan of the new front ends but the 05+ with these really makes these truck look like brand new vehicles Well, all except for Bens, his is a rust bucket
