Black Flame Customs HID projector conversion package

I'm planning on ordering a set because I'm sick of the lousy stock headlights. All my other cars have great lights.... The Black Flame kit sounds great. Plug and play. My questions are: 1) Are there any downsides to the conversion? (besides cost, which is no big deal). 2) Are there any other companies that do a better job? 3)What options should I choose??? Projectors, Shrouds, D2S options.......... HELP!
Here's a link to the site: 2011+ Ford Superduty F250 F350 F450 Complete HID Projector Conversion Packages | BlackFlameCustoms.com

I'm not looking to change the appearance of the headlights, just the performance. Also not interested in a DIY project.
Thanks

Definitely interested in hearing more on this also. Love that it's an entire new housing plug and play.

I'm doing the mini h1's right now with morimoto 3five. i just did there check list and it would be $1585 for them to do the build I'm doing myself. but currently I'm only into it $650 with projectors, factory painted housings, and a set of oem headlights to convert.

I hate both the look and performance of the stock headlights...
But I guess I don't hate them $1,600 worth....

LS460 projectors and Morimoto ballasts are the way to go. Use your existing housings to save money. I'm not skilled enough to do my own install, but if you are, you can save big bucks and do it yourself. BFC get's all their components from The Retrofit Source Inc so price it there and you can see if it's worth it to do it yourself. There is a lot of fitting, aiming, and reassembly so I wouldn't even try it but you may have a skill set I don't...

I'm going with Black Flame as well, they seem to have good experience with the SuperDuty. When I'm towing at night I really need all the light I can get. The quality of a proper xenon retrofit cannot be beat.

I'm sending in my housing and am going with a upgraded D2S projector. Do yourself a favor and get a D2S projector base...if you're spending the money on the fabrication, don't skimp and put a H1 (halogen based bulb) in a xenon housing. You can buy a set of DDM bulbs and ballasts from DDM Tuning: HID and LED Lighting cheap. My plan is to run the DDM D2S bulbs until they burn out and throw in a set of OEM Osram or Phillips.

Here's my build:
--HOUSINGS-- Customer Supplied OEM
--PROJECTORS-- D2S v3.0 Bi-Xenon
--BULBS-- --customer has--
--BALLASTS-- --customer has--
--SHROUDS-- Apollo 2.0 CHROME
--WIRING-- --customer has-- (include new 9006 ends female)
--AMBERS-- KEEP STOCK
--PAINT-- NONE - ALL CHROME LOOK
Total cost was right around $700. Once I get the headlights back I'm going to polish any pitting and slap on some Xpel headlight film to protect them.

Jumping in here as I am very interested in this company and light performance.

I was about to buy another LED bar to supplement my existing lighting, but this may be a better option for normal all times driving. I get tired of switching my bar on and off for good visibility.
