2016 ford raptor engine

I heard that the raptor is not going to have an ecoboost and no v8 . Correct me if im wrong. Yeah dont get me wrong ecoboosts are stronger than any v8. But come on I rather have a v8 because v8 s obviously sound mean, agressive, the sound of power. I rather have a v8 at least a 5.0 . WHAT U GUYS THINK? Please comment

Yes it is getting a 3.5L Ecoboost. Its a second generation EcoBoost with over 450hp. Mileage wise it'll do better than the out going 6.2L...how much better is up for debate until we actually know. 5.0L would be a nice option for those who want a V8 (personally the Mustang GT 5.0L would be nice).

Welcome to the world of government mandates (CAFE stds.). All of the car companies will be doing all they can to increase fuel economy average for their respective fleet to avoid fines and surcharges.

Ya, I think having an option for a v8 would have been good. I think I'd give the eco booster a shot though, should be a fun truck with that much power
