Restoring my crew cab...build thread on the Dastardly Dog

Hey everyone, new member here. names Ryan, live in central Wisconsin. My dad has an old picture from his wedding with my him n my mom next to his 79 F150. a big old school badass reg cab short box with gold flake lettering that says Short n Sassy. ill try to get a pic of it next time im home. well ive seen this pic for years and finally decided i want something like that. but BIGGER. so i set out a search for a crewcab and luckily found a super clean one to restore only a couple hours from my house for a great price.
im no stranger to restoring cars. my first car which i still have is a 65 ford falcon 2dr hardtop that we restored when i was 15. after that we restored my dads 69 torino GT. also done a fews AMCs that my unlce owns...including 2 69 S/C Ramblers one with each paint scheme. a couple americans. a javelin with a nasty 401. an AMX with a snappy 360. a marlin with a 327. and a hornet. we are currently restoring a fairlane for my sister. plus i cruised around in a 83 amc spirit ha
ive also had 2 01 lightnings..one with 550rwhp and one with 625rwhp. right now my daily driver is a 2007 jeep grand cherokee srt8 with a vortech pushing out about 550 to the tires and is awd. thing is a blast to drive.

back to the crewcab
i put out a wanted status on facebook one day and couldnt believe a buddy of mines dad had exactly what i wanted in a shed full of 70s fords.
i wanted a 79 f250 crew cab 4x4 4speed 460. called the guy up n went to look at it. exactly what i wanted and in great shape. so i sold my lifted 97 f150 flareside and brought home my new pride n joy.
didnt have it home more than a few days and already started tearing it apart for a full restoration.

Truck plans:
6" suspension lift
38" tires
mild 460
no trim
a color different than blue black red or white. single color...thinking a green with some silver flake lettering like my dads when i name the truck
complete restoration built the way i want.

im part way through my restoration already but ill start from the beginning with pics....I have TONS of pics. I work on the road as a stainless steel process piping pipefitter so im gone for 2 weeks then home for one so i dont have as much time as i used to to work on it but im slowly chipping away at it.

hope you guys enjoy the build and looking forward to seeing what everyone else thinks and am welcome to any ideas and help with things along the way.

now to figure out how to post pics on here...

I'm on the mobile site so I can't see how many posts u already have but u need 25 posts to be able to post pics. If ur at that then when u go to reply the little icon that has a mountain on it, click that then it will bring up another box to where u can browse to find the pics on ur computer and attach each one and then click upload. Make sure there not bigger then 1.89mb.

the guy i bought it from LOADED me with extra parts....doors, hood, bumpers, door panels, trim, lights, dashes, glass. the crewcab interior was full to the roof with parts and the box was full plus the back of the suburban that hauled it home was full of parts. he literally has 2 semi trailers full top to bottom with parts.
i scored this beauty for $4000. runs drives stops. already had the 460 conversion done and is super clean

putzed around the yard with it for a day or 2 then jumped into the teardown
box off right away

460 shot

front end removed to reveal the crazy clean firewall
