The rear air suspension on my 07 4X4 Navi stopped working and displayed a message to Check Air Suspension. Over a couple of days, the rear end lost the air it had and has lowered all the way down. I have checked all the fuses and relays and I disconnected the air pump 4 prong power supply and hot wired the air pump motor and it seemed to run fine. I let the pump run for just a minute and there was no sign of the rear end raising so i disconnected the wire.
Up to the time of failure, all I ever heard the pump run was occasionally for about 10-15 seconds at a time.
I have read through a lot of posts but have not seen a solution other then installing a new air pump but mine seems to run when it receives power. What else could be preventing the motor from kicking on? Any suggestions?
Pulling my boat to the ramp today with my 07 Navigator L the Check Air Suspension warning came on. We spent the day on the water, towed home, about halfway home same thing. Stopped and the rear was sagging but not bottomed out.
Got home, dropped the boat, the rear popped back up and the warning message was gone. Took it for a short drive, did the system check and it said Air Suspension OK along with all other systems.
I'm curious what the cost to replace that level sensor was if you don't mind as I am going to start troubleshooting this week. I'm hoping it's something simple.
