Custom headers

Has anyone here found a manufacturer of custom long tube headers with real flanges, primary lengths longer than 24" and true merge collectors?

My engine calls for 37" to 39" primaries. The readily available headers all have 24" primaries. My engine would literally throw a rod before reaching the insane RPM's that 24" primaries work best at.

What irks me is that I can buy off the shelf 460 truck headers that have 37" primaries.

Thanks for any help.

Imagine there are a number of 'custom' header manufacturer's; however, noticed Sanderson seems to be listed in a few of the 'performance' engine part supplier's. Not sure if they still offer headers based on the customer's design, nor worth the cost. Suggest run a search on topic 'Sanderson Headers' and narrow search to the 'exhaust/header' forum, I recall member's posting reviews/comments on Sanderson Header's.

Imagine already done the research, I bookmarked couple articles on the topic of 'Header's; if interested

Thanks Dave but Sanderson only offers short tube headers for my application. I have Flowtech long tube headers now but they are in no way optimized for many of our engines. I'm actually enquiring if anyone has found a source for custom long tube headers for our trucks. The off the shelf headers are better than stock manifolds but I'm looking for better performance.

If they're custom, then any length you require should be easy to get. The problem with custom headers is they are tough to build if the builder doesn't have the vehicle right there. Check with local exhaust, tubing, or fab shops to see if there is anyone local who can do it. It's not going to be cheap, potentially not worth the gain, over an off the shelf header.
You can also buy kits to try it yourself, still not particularly cheap, though.

This, I've made a half dozen or so headers in my day and modified many more, they're still just metal tubes. A true custom header made to your specs on the truck by someone that knows what they're doing will be better then anything anyone can make without the truck at any price.

IDK your fab skills but I suggest giving making them yourself a try. Even if you don't have a welder, just find a good local welder with a TIG. Buy some flanges, collectors, mandrel tubes/bends then all you need is a way to cut the tubes and some tape. Cut sections of tube and tape them together wrapping the joint to hold them together. Then take it to the welder.

If you can find a header that is close to what your after, might be better to buy it to start then modify it.
