I've been getting a "wiring fault on trailer" message intermittently for quite a while. I repaired one brake last summer and the warning went away. On the way to Florida it came on again for awhile and then off. I was really starting to think the fault was in the truck. But before I took it in I decided to try once more to find the problem on the trailer. After a lengthy process which you can read in my post on the "RV towing" forum below I finally found this wire inside the rear axle. Gotta love those computers.
I had this same issue-kept getting an intermittent fault. So I spent a couple hours crawling around under the trailer looking for problems and found a frayed/broken wire inside the drum.
Post that again one more time, I don't get to see (or hear) that very often!
I don't think you've seen me being critical of our trucks or our techs. Things are getting so sophistcated lately that it's a learning curve for everyone. The only thing I hate to see, and I'm sure it's brand wide, is when valid warranty claims are denied. Some I'm sure have more issues involved than what we see here.

Whenever I see "valid" warranty claims denied, I remember the old phrase, "There's ALWAYS two sides to every story"
Very good, thanks for sharing Stanley.
Vloney, I worked in a shop for 20 some years, you tend to remember those that are appreciative and those that are chronic !
