Black Smoke
I'm getting constant black smoke on my '07 6.0L F-250.
When its cold, its gray, but turns black when the engine is warmed up.
Also now it rattles like a Cummin's diesel.
I first noticed it at last fill up, first thought it was bad fuel but its getting worse.
Any idea of what the problem may be and/or a fix.
Still has lots of power. That hasn't changed.
Thanks in advanced.

Sounds like you have an injector leaking. Have you code scanned the truck?

More like a over fueling injector. Check for cylinder contribution codes.

Have a balance test done soon to find out which injector is bad. The rattle your hearing is your warning that bad things are about to happen.

And if you do end up changing your injector, don't drop the torx bit...
