Glass color help!

My truck is red with a gray inside and I was considering light smoke for all the windows.
Some of the glass people are suggestion light smoke for the sides & back and green tent for the windshield.
I just don't know what it would look like standing back and looking at it.

Sounds like painting your house gray on three sides and the other side green.

What are the ideas of others?
Thanks,
TractormanBill

It would look just like your daily driver if you had the windows tinted at one of the film applying shops. You can grey out the sides and back, but you don't want anything more than factory tint on your windshield. Having a totally clear windshield lets through a lot of UV light, heat and glare. Not reccommended.

My local glass guy recommended the light green tint to block glare, UV, heat, etc, and still appear reasonably stock.

I have light smoke windows with a green tint windshield. It would look just like this only in red.

Windshields are now available in light gray as well which I would think would match better than green. I just ordered a full kit of smoke gray glass with a light gray windshield that has a dark gray band across the top for sun glare.

Is it not recommended to use the "light" smoke front glass?
Ross, what are your feelings?

The light smoke tinted windshield is not as dark as the other glass, it is a slight tint and is street legal. I will post pics in the build thread when the glass gets here.

Wonder if the light smoke would not be as good as a green for the front glass when it comes to vision?
Dave who you getting the glass from?

I bought the glass kit for my 1937 Buick from them, all pieces fit perfectly. They also said they can cut my custom glass for my chopped F1 if I send them the templates, so I will get my glass for that truck from them as well. Good guys to deal with on the phone as well.
