That's bizarre. Did you by any chance name your truck "Stinky" lately?
I've called that truck a few names in the past couple of weeks but Stinky wasn't one of them. HAHA
I called MFI and they said they are probably just going to build me an injector so I can drive down hand them mine and walk right out with a (hopefully) working one.
After all I've been through and diagnosed I really hope this puts this to bed. I'm thinking that when the code moved with it there was no other possibility but the injector at this point.
But at least the wire harness got a thorough going through and I did find a chaffed wire. I figure I'm not out of the woods yet just because of my luck but my fingers are crossed.
I'll update this when I get the injector back in...
Mike, sorry I haven't been on or followed the forum in a couple months much at all.
But, that said, I have indeed seen an electrical High to Low open IDM fault from a loose armature plate screw. One time I had an issue on the road and was able to tighten the screw(under the solenoid) and make sure I clocked the poppet(Thanks Greg) to complete my trip. After returning home, I sent the injectors to Ryan, for him to go through them all, even though he felt confident in my repairs, and commended me for it.
Just trying to make you feel good I suppose as this will likely take care of your issues.
I feel it is better for both of us that I only mention your name while the truck is running fine.

Lol. I'll gladly take the heat for y'all - but my biggest recommendation back when this all started was to change tuners. I can't help it that you noticed the diesel gauge in my truck didn't move for 2400 miles while towing your truck....
Well the new injector went in and the truck started up and ran with no engine codes. I currently have the fan and shroud off getting ready to replace the water pump tonight so I will advise once the tires are rolling again but it looks promising! (fingers crossed)
Thanks for all you help and suggestions. I can say I learned about the electrical system on this truck, which makes it a little worth it, after this forsaken ordeal!
Thanks for all the diagrams and pictures.
I got called out to NYC for a ship fire two days ago and have been up for almost 40 hours now. I'm hoping to be home tomorrow and get the truck finished up Friday. Still keeping my fingers crossed....

I have the EXACT issue but on #8, not working at all, no buzz, no oil. I'm at the IDM wringing out wires back to the injector then check to ground. Now I feel as if I should swap 6&8 injectors just to see. I have swapped the coils to no avail. I've done everything you did to this point. I'm glad I found this post.
