Rusty engine oil dipstick
I was wondering if anyone has noticed a rusty engine oil dipstick and tube on their trucks? I have a 09 150 4.6 3V with the 6R80 trans. The dipstick is rusty for the top half and I assume the tube is rusty about the same. I am going to replace it in the spring when the headers are installed as it will have to come out anyway.

My 06 with 5.4 was rusty at the top, highest point in the engine and condensation was always there because of short drive to work which causes the rust you see on the dipstick, maybe some sort of anti corrosive could be applied?

I noticed My dipstick was rusty and found that the small o-ring on the shaft of the top yellow deal you grab was missing. I took some steel wool and cleaned it up the metal, wiped some oil on it and put a new o-ring and now it's fine after 6,000 miles.
