2000 7.3 Excursion Problem

So I have a 2000 ford excursion and I'm trying to figure out if I need a new drive shaft or if it's something else in the back end. Every time I drive over 55 mph it starts vibrating real bad and when I go to turn, I can hear grinding in the back end. Anyone with an F250 or excursion who has had this same issue? Already changed U-Joints recently as well. Feedback would be much appreciated!

Have you had the rear cover off yet to make sure your not making metal? Picked the rear up and shake tires to see if anything obvious?

I have, in fact we just put new wheels on about a month ago and it was fine.

How about taking the rear differential cover off? Inspect & change the fluid.....see if there is anything obvious. The last time I had a bad vibration at highway speeds, it was due to a tire being off balance when some of the weights fell off.

All good points. Did you change the universal joint and tires because it was doing this in hopes of correcting it. Or, did it occur following the work.
