We won! By golly we won!
The Blacksburg Dolphins won their first game today under the leadership of new Head Coach Chuck Greene. It was the first win in two seasons and only the second in 5 years!
We defeated the Gaffney Panthers 6-0. It was a very near thing. It came down to the last 10 seconds, they were on our 8-yd. line. Our defense stopped them cold.
So the headlines should read....
I'm very happy as you can imagine! My boys played very well. Even the parents were amazed and ecstatic.
On a personal note my son had three tackles at RLB. A career best for him.
The asst. coaches poured the cooler on me after the game! Man, some memories are priceless!!!!
I told you guys there'd be updates. We are now 1-0 for the new season!
It sure feels good to win, now if you'll excuse me I've got some celebrating to do.....
