Please don't lump LED plug and play kits with HIDs as far as output/cutoff. As my photo above clearly shows my HIDs have a cutoff just the same as my headlights with a stock halogen bulb.
I also tried LEDs in one truck to try it, just like you had happen it was a huge blob of light. NOTHING like HIDs in the same housing.

I'll second this.
LEDs tried by a couple friends. Negative feedback along with my own.
VVME is the company I use and have since 2007 with one kit being a '07 with no bulbs/ballests replaced. I run them in all my trucks, aimed correctly and have never been flashed. I use a hi/low kit so i have full low beams and high beams.
I'm not a fan of projectors and the extreme sharp cutoff, really sucks with all our hills.
low beams
don't have the bronco anymore
Hmm I did not know that about the sharp lines of the light pattern. I live in MT so there are long long rippling plains where you are looking for deer, elk, cows, horses, or someone just plain stupid to run in front of you. I guess VVME is something I should really look at.
JR2,
Love the X, by the way what size is that LED bar in your bumper as a replacement instead of fog lamps. Looks nice and love the rims and stance! What size tires? Suppose I can just go measure my opening and order my LED bar
Today I just ordered HID lamps for my X and I run a set on my F350 Dually now for almost 8 months no problems. I run the 6000k light, which works great for what I need it for. Since the supplier is local to me in SOCAL I just go with them, like I said for $35 a set and have lasted 8 months this far I have no complaints.
My first post on FT, but, not my first car forum post....
A little background on my ride:
2000 7.3 PSD Excursion
X & modded B's - "level"
2005 Full OEM front Conversion
2006 OEM HD Black Headlights that use "H13" bulbs.
I agree this light bar looks great. What one are you using? And how did you mount it up?

The KD brackets are worth every penny. Not worth fabricating yourself unless you have a bunch of time and no $$
Since my truck is a 2000 and does not have wiring for fog lights, I used this wiring harness, mounted relay next to fuse box and ran the wire down to the bumper:
Do you have a recommendation for someone who already has the HID kit but needs a projector housing?
Stewart
Yes. hidplanet.com is owned byThe Retrofit Source Inc. Tons of info of how to do it right. Yes its more difficult than throwing a kit in a stock housing but the results are ten fold better. TRS is a great company to deal with and they know there S***
