I've got an 88 F-250 with the 7.3 that struggles to start. It turns over very slow like a dead battery and sputters a few times before it finally starts. Batteries are at 100% with no corroded cables. Bad starter??
What do the battery cable look like? They have a tendency to corrode inside the ends and get weak continuity. While cranking, do they get warm to the touch?
Could be starter, but I would check all cables first.
