The new Raptor coming for 2016 is going to be powered by the 3.5 Ecoboost engine...Ford has not officially released torque and HP ratings for the Ecoboost engine in the Raptor yet, but have said that they will be higher than the previous figures generated by the previous 6.2L V8.
During a live TV interview at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona race on Saturday, Raj Nair Ford VP Global Product Development let slip ( intentionally or unintentionally?? ) that the new Ecoboost Raptor would be coming with 450 HP. He was being interviewed about the Chip Ganassi Racing Daytona Prototype cars, that are running the Ford 3.5 Ecoboost engines putting out 600 HP...which is virtually the same engine that is slated to go into the newly announced Ford GT.
