Then I Thank You, for helping a Member here deal with a problem
I'm sure, as you see on this forum, there are many people that contribute one way or another, and having someone from the Company that brought us all together, really has some bearing
Ah.......Yea.........I agree.........still don't look real good on the Dealers side.....
You don't think it had anything to do with Miss. Crystal stepping in on this.......do you???
If it does, then this might be a good thing for other's that Have to deal with the Dealers over Warranty work
I've been watching this tread, It's been what, over 2 weeks for this item??
I can understand your lost of business over this too, I've been there on getting repairs done, but Not through a dealer.
I hope you have another, better, Ford dealer in your area for your next van purchase.
The dealer for some reason took back the statement about back ordered parts, after awhile and yes it was over 2 weeks total time.
I would like to think ford service here had something to do with the timing but honestly not sure. I'm fortunate that the support is here on the forums, and that makes me feel much better than my local Dealer. They also told me the transmission mechanics wife went into labor and he went to the hospital to have his first baby, and he wouldn't be back for a couple of days. I found out later that she didn't have the kid.
There is another dealer. I will give them a try.
Service writer emphasized many times that I was not the original purchaser, therefore not giving me a loaner. IDK I guess I should be happy things are fixed and I'm back at work, just an In convince overall, now that I look back.
It's funny how the service manager never answered his phone the first 2 weeks I called then picked it up on the first ring after regional stepped in.
I hope this tread helps someone in the future.
I can post the parts they replaced if requested, I have a 2 year unlimited mile warranty on the rebuilt transmission.
Its been less than a year, and the new rebuilt trans is leaking, Dealer wont honor my 2 year unlimited mile transmission warranty. I'm still under 60k miles too.

Thank you Crystal, PM sent!
I just picked up my van, and its still not fixed. I had to get back to work, at least if its only for the weekend. They weren't going to look at the transmission until Monday anyhow. (there mechanic doesn't work weekends) I dropped it off Wed night.
They claimed to fix the Ignition problem, they said it was only a coil, but charged me $446.00 which incudes 3 hours of labor, 1 hour diagnostics, 1hour replacing the 1 coil, 1 hour re programming the PCM! Completely outrageous! and the engine light is still on!!@! it completely shuts off while driving... (very dangerous) they just need to give me my money back because they did not fix that problem either, and charged me $446... I have 11 registered vehicles own a major company here in NW FL and never had a problem with anything!! This Dealership has cost me.
But they did change there mind & will honor my standard 5yr 60k warranty on the leaking trans they installed. They will not however honor there 2 year unlimited miles on there in house rebuilt transmission. Good thing I'm still under factory warranty for 15 more days! and 2k miles. I guess after they got me for the $446 for a 15 dollar coil pack, I should feel thankful.
just an update... thanks Crystal for your help, but unfortunately I will be out of warranty on the 28th, yes they did fix there leaking transmission they installed under warranty. AS for my other problems they are still not fixed, and its the same as the day I took it in! stalls every time I stop. Paid them $450.00 they diagnosed and told me it was a coil... so they replaced that, then took it back they said it was an O2 sensor, replaced that. I'm still having the same issues. Now they don't return my calls... soon as my warranty runs out I will probably replace this vehicle as well with my other Ford products... I understand that all vehicles need service, and If I am stuck with this dealer in this town, I will be sure never to use them again. They have proved many times, I am better off on my own.
