My 2004 f250 v10 has presented an annoying quirk. At around 1500-1600 rpm I hear a vibration that sounds like an exhaust heat shield rattling against the engine or exhaust itself. If I decrease rpm it goes away and if I increase it comes and goes. Ive had the truck on a lift 3 times looking the heat shields and anything else I can think of to no avail. Has anyone else ran into this or have any ideas what else to check? This is really aggravating! Thanks
Check the tq converter cover plate. Mine was rattling/buzzing so I but a slight bend in it and reinstalled it. I also had a heat shield on the crazy Y that was broke on one end.

Mine used to rattle a long time ago, when I replaced the aftermarket muffler the previous owner had put on the muffler guy tack the plate in several places.
