1997 7.3 this morning it started up fine, went and put my shift kit in. started the truck to test drive and it took about 10 cranks to start, when it did start it seemed starved then surged and evened out. it did this a few more times then i pulled into a gas station to get some tobacco products, went out and cns... went on for about 2 hours trying to diagnose, let it cool, nothing. cps, nothing. so i gave in and sprayed the littlest bit of starting fluid i could, started up and ran without a problem , that is until i shut it off. back to square one. with my novice knowledge about my truck and the fuel system, i have no leaks, my fuel bowl is full of fuel, all my fuel lines look fine. somehow im loosing fuel back into my tank and i have to start with either to get the vacuum of the motor to get the pump sucking? im guessing a fuel pump? anybody agree/ disagree, have any advice to share. im thinking about going with e-fuel when tax returns get to my bank account...TIA
