Quick question

I used RTV but I had a gasket, did I even need RTV high temp gasket maker since I put a gasket on the thermostat? I have work in 2 hours, should I just tighten it once I am about to leave since I already have a gasket or wait for it to dry? 300 i6 f150 1993

I always use the blue colored gasket maker with the gasket as a sealer. I don't give it time to dry, I add coolant as soon as I get it assembled.

Thermostat housing I use a gasket and just coat it with Permatex No. 2 which is a non hardening sealant. And as soon as it's all put back together I dump coolant in it as well.

When I replaced my thermostat I had a new gasket and put some Permatex water pump and thermostat sealant on it. I did not wait 24 hours as said on the Permatex label and I have no leaks.
