Why did you blindly change a sensor without checking for codes?

It's not reading codes and it had some frayed wires and had advice from another person from this site to start there. I'v had it in the shop a few times. Still no luck.
Check your fuel pressure regulator for leaks, pull the line off and see is you can see or smell fuel, you really need to scan for codes, and check live data. If not your just throwing parts at it without diagnosing it properly. Sounds like spark, spray water around the coil and wires and have someone crank it over as your looking at the coil and wires, you will see and hear arcing, may not be getting enough spark when she is warm, carbon tracking is worse when it's warm.

In many cases there can be a stored code without a Check Engine Light so it's best practice to check. In light of the updated info," it had some frayed wires", I guess it would be prudent to head off other issues.
Which Temperature sensor did you change..there are two? (Assuming you are referring to the Engine Coolant Temperature ECT) One for the temperature gauge, the other for the computer.
