Whilst disconnecting things so I can get to my #5 cylinder fuel injector, I was taking pics of the back side of the engine block, to see how I can loosen the fuel rail back there ('cause I do not know how to do so yet) and I saw THIS
Certainly looks like something is disconnected back there to me! What the heckola is it, and what problems is it making? My big ole hands are going to have serious issues getting back there to try placing a bolt....
First thing I thought was A/C deleted and blocked off. Then because it is black I thought EGR block off but the plate only has one bolt and is not in position right.
Smog pump port attempted to be blocked off.
Stuff like that.
But if it is on the head itself it is a port for emissions/egr. It also would be a direct route to the exhaust of that head so that block off plate should be covering the hole totally and sealed good.
