Electric fan
I hear talk about installing electric fans. How much hp does that save? Will the electrical system handle it. I have a high output alternator and a big Die-Hard, but I also have under-drive pulleys. I have visions of sitting in traffic on a hot summer night, headlights, A/C and, well you know, it sounds scary.

if youre doing it for a horsepower gain its not worth it. but its great for freeing up some space in the engine compartment. i have the flex-a-lite 210 fan. easy to install and work great. i did however upograde to a econoline alternator (130amp) and bought a overdrive alternator pully from asp. it helps with charging at idle. the fans draw 20 amps.
