I had the same issue recently. Replaced u-joints/balanced and its smooth as glass now. Only cost me $120 and they painted it too!! My slip joint was/is good, just needed grease.
Interesting...not to sound crazy but could you post a picture of your rig with the lift and stock tires? There's a good chance that I'll end up having to run on stock rubber for a while, even after Monster gets a 4"-6" lift. I'm curious how it might look.
Sure, I will post a few pictures when I can figure out how to do so. Is it possible to post via the mobile browser, I am on my mobile phone most of the time and do not see a way to post pics from my phone.
Newer ujoint don't mean much if they munched them on install last time. The one I replaced was an aftermarket one. The front was original and in good shape. Not messing with it until the 50° mark comes around if it will hold out.
I thought it was the cop and a front wheel bearing at first. Finally got bad enough it was obvious it was in the center of the vehicle, not out board, and it was getting louder.
Yup...now I just need some $$ and time to replace it. Well a little warmer weather for this driveway DIY mechanic would be nice too! I hate laying in the snow to work on the underside of Monster....BBRRRRRRRR!!
