4x4 Van

So, all the 4x4 van owners and those with a lot of knowledge of them, does this sounds like a decent deal?

1983 ford E-350 "quadravan" 4x4 van sale/trade

if that vehicle still had the stock front axle under it and body was still good that price would be just about right.

that front axle(if it is a Ford) is a closed knuckle/drum brake front axle, and with those hubs its pre 1976 . most likely it is a low pinion front axle. they used the exact same locking hubs on dana 44 and dana 60 up to 1975

this van should have come with a dana highpinion 44 front axle w/disc brakes and a lot smaller locking hub.

I have 2 dana 44 low pinion front axles 73 and a 75, sell you both for 500, or I have 1 dana 60 low pinion front axle(75 crewcab) for $600 .

good luck.....................4wd vans are very cool!!!

The guy sounds like a tool

Maintenance work on your vehicle doesn't increase the value, thats maintenance, you're supposed to do it

The van looks ok in the pics but you'd have to look at it more closely to see how much rust there is, I would be suspect of 74k actual miles

Looks cool, quadravan conversion from what I heard weren't always the cleanest installs, but I still wouldn't be afraid of owning one

I'm about 95% not going to look at it, because it's kind of far from me and I've also always been suspect of ads where routine maintenance items are boasted about. I like the idea of a 4x4 van and I don't see them for sale often. Never heard of quadravan before so I knew that coming here and asking was going to help me learn some new stuff. Thanks all for the input.
