Another thought....maybe the filter is not rated for the flow rates of the pump and causing a restriction. Probably a long shot but just throwing it out there
Which Wix filter are you using. I believe mine is a Wix#33123. I think this was a diesel filter used years ago on some models of early Chevy diesel pickups. I don't know for sure I got the base and filter number long ago from someone on this forum.

WIX 33123 Spin-On Fuel and Water Separator Filter.
I used this pump for years on my old 2002. Even pulling my 5th wheel I couldn't burn more fuel than I was pumping into the tank. It came with the filter. The pump was still working fine when I pulled it and the tank out of my old truck.
If I remember right my Airtex pump is a 8153 and on line that shows to be 35 gph capacity. I know I've never been able to use fuel faster than it can replace fuel to the rear stock tank.

Well, unless you hook up to your 5er and drive 350mph of course.
Ok disconnected the line and ran the pump. Let's say I can pee a stream bigger. lol Took the small fuel filter off the input to the pump and it had the black tar in it. I am going to run up to ACE HW and just get an adapter to hook up the line without that small filter. I have the big WIX filter after the pump right now. Should I put it before the pump?
Also, I would think it it allowed air to escape, it would throw a code similar to the P0442 I have seen on cars with bad gas cap or gas cap left off.
I've left the fuel filler cap off () and had no DTC appear. I thought it strange because I've seen codes on gas cars set when you put the cap on wrong...not completely off.
Also I've driven a '14 (37 gal tank?) from full tank to 38 miles to empty numerous times in the same day and there was a big charge of air every time I take the cap off.

Hope some of this helps.
Hm.. I've never experienced that rush of air when I take the cap off driving cross country. on my 08 or my 12.
Ok it's fixed. I removed the tiny fuel filter that came screwed into the pump, rerouted stuff so the big WIX filter is between the aux tank and the fuel pump. She is blowing some fuel out now. Thanks for all the suggestions.
Happy to hear your problem was a simple one. Those 33123's are nice aren't they? They may not be as fine as media as would be ideal, but in our use they are just acting as a pre-filter for the stock filters anyhow. I open the petcock frequently to sample into a glass jar, so far nothing. I SURE hope it stays that way!!!
