A Union, devoted to protecting the Civil Liberties of Americans. OOOH, there's a scary thought! Yeah, let's send them packing to Lord knows where! Of course, they'll have to take the Bill of Rights with them. Ultra left-wing, liberal organization? You betcha! Provides a balance for Rush and all his kind? Ditto!!

Defending the North American Man-Boy group is hardly a balance for Rush and/or his kind. Try again...
I sould have mentioned that I voted 'Without' thank you very much.
Have you heard whos rights they (The ACLU) are fighting for now? Their latest caper makes their fight for the neo-****'s right to march in the Jewish neighborhoods of Chicago sound silly.
The North American Man-Boy Association. Don't ask me anything about them, use your search feature if you need information an please don't take this thread into the toilet.

I think that the ACLU has done some good. Unfortunately they do so much horribly bad things that they outweigh what good they have done. Overall, I think that they have done more harm than good (NAMBLA, nativity-scene bashing, etc.)
The problem is that popular views don't need protection. It's only the unpopular views that need to have someone fighting in their defense. The ACLU by its nature is always going to **** someone off. I didn't spend 22 years in the military just so people can TELL me what to think. I'd rather have the choice of what to think. If I don't like something, I'll not partake, whether it's a song, movie, book or lifestyle. I don't want someone to tell me I can't partake.
