Hi, my truck wont start. I have spark and my fuel pumps come on but very little pressure on the rail. I've done some work on it since the problem started. I've replaced the eec and fuel pump relays, ignition coil, distributor cap and rotor and the duel tank selector(it was fried). I also replaced the battery.

Thx for any help..

What is your fuel pressure at the rail? mine is 40psi with engine off and pump running, and 32psi when running at idle. Have you replaced the fuel filter?

I don't have a gauge on it but from the shredder valve it shoots out for a second then nothing. That is with the key on... It won't start so can't check in idle. Haven't replaced the filter yet. That is next. Will it have two filters because of two tanks? Will it have a return line filter? I found one filter but it seemed like it was backwards. ( the "in" side was facing the engine not the tank).

I only have the one filter on the frame rail on my truck. I would think it should be the same on your truck.

When you turn the key to on, the pumps only run for a couple seconds if everything is working properly. You need to put a gauge on it if replacing the filter doesn't solve it.

You can also jumper the fuel pump relay to keep the pump running while you have a gauge on it.
