Where is this located on my 1988 F250 460 C6? How much is it? How hard is it to replace? (can i do it myself). sorry to post a tranny question in here but you get more response in here.
If I remember right it is on the right side of the tranny towards the rear. Like in the area of the right rear corner of the oil pan and up a bit. Look for the vaccume line going to it. One bolt and slide it out. 5 Minute job. I want to say I payed about $35.00 USD for mine but that was about eight years ago.

hey. while you guys are talking about it, is it in the same spot for a 1988 c-6 auto tranny with the 5.8L? i think mine is going too. it bucks between 2nd a third (hunting) and you have to let up or giver. i was thinking it was the modulator or vacumn line. what do you think? what symptoms are you having?
if i mash it from the start it is slow to shift from first to second (doesnt want to shift) and the same when it shifts from second to third. although if i am going like 20 in second gear and mash it it seems to shift down fine (same way if it shifts from third to second)
