Anyone here a member of the Disabled American Veterans? DAV : Disabled American Veterans Charity - FIND, DONATE, JOIN & VOLUNTEER to HELP Disabled American Veterans
It's not expensive and you can obtain life membership quite easily.
DAV is also a partner of Ford Motor Company's X Plan program for car purchasing new vehicles.
Check em out, there are multitudes of good benefits available.

As I understand, X plan is for new vehicle purchases. The VA should assist you with other accommodations for the car.
