Hopefully i can change the title after a better name for my thread comes around than i can come up with!!......
Im playing around around with a pretty sweet 55 f-250 i picked up recently.no desire to keep it bone stock, dont wanna"in the weeds"rod either.im just thinking a functional truck, dependable, somewhat modern conveniences, etc.the previous p.o.,or even earlier than that, put some some love in this truck.its in great shape.!
So.....heres what im thinking, and dont really know a good name for the "build"thread.an impromptu poll to come up with a thread title.please post suggestions for a "catchy" title.
I have recently picked up a 3.73 ratio d60 from a 68 f-250 to replace the 4.88's thats in it now....also just bought a 72 econoline van for a good running 302 and c-4 tranny to take the place of the anemic 239 o.h.v thats in it now.planning on using the p.s., p, brakes, steering, and column for my 69 econoline restoration as well
Sorting out and familiarizing myself with the wiring.did the 55 have the cloth wiring?my truck has modern wiring, and the harness matches the factory 56 diagram im using.found a six circuit generic atc style fuse panel.plan on using one for key off power and another for keyed power.
does anybody have a simple method of removing the black residue(copper oxide??)from the wiring.its impossible to solder as is
