4r75e woes

Hey All!
My 4r75e in my 2006 E-350 SD came out in 5 pieces. The bellhousing corroded where it mounts to the engine block, causing severe hairline cracks. I'm having a heck of a time finding a used one. Do I have any other options (4r100 etc etc) or do I have to mortgage the house and buy and new unit?

Any and all help is muchly appreciated.

There are good used transmissions to be had if you search. As mentioned, you can use transmissions from 2005 and newer trucks and vans as long as you stick with a 2 wheel drive transmission.

In a pinch, you could even use a transmission from an 04 Marauder, an 04 Mustang with a V8 and 04 and newer Grand Marquis or Crown Vics (as long as it's a civilian model with the short tailshaft) with just a little work. car-part.com can be your friend.
