Getting ready to take my Truck in for the Radio turning off but thought I'd see if you guys have this other issue first. About half the time I start my truck the radio doesn't play sound, it's on but no sound. If I touch it or change the station then sound starts to come out, is this normal?
Mine does this intermittently. I always shut down with the radio set on my USB and playing music. A lot of times, when I get back in, there is nothing happening. I hit power twice and have music again. I always assumed it was bogged down with trying to get my phone paired up and never really worried about it. It would be nice to have it corrected though.
Mine does it sometimes but only when I shut it off with the usb device being the source, it doesn't auto play for some reason when I start it back up, I just hit play or next track and it starts. Never a problem on satellite
If left on USB input when truck is turned off, it will intermittently switch to 'AUX' input on next start. It does other odd things ever so often. I blame the software guy, he only got it 99% right and management didn't want to pay to test further.

Kim I am interested in what you have for CMill250. I posted something about this last year and when I took it in to the dealer they couldn't do anything about it because I couldn't show them what it wasn't doing. Give us some trouble shooting tips I have a 2014 Platinum F-350 with SYNC with MyFord Touch® .
Disconnect the batteries and turn the headlights on for about 10 minutes. This gives it a good drain and forces a reset. I had similar issues about 16 months ago, did this and no problems since.

I have already done this and the problem persists intermittently.

Hi laurin and CMill250,
The best troubleshooting step I am able to recommend is called a master reset. This will set everything back to the factory default settings and make sure your system is running smoothly. Here are the steps: How to Perform a Master Reset | MyFord Touch | Ford.com
Mine does strange things too, driving down the road listening to a good song on the radio and out of the blue radio will shut off and the usb input will come on, which is my ipod, then the ipod starts playing. I have books recorded on the ipod but it never starts where I left off in a book, it always starts at the recorded music, so now I am screwed unless I wrote down which chapter I was on. I hope the aftermarket comes up with a replacement, Kenwood are you listening.
That problem I haven't had. However....
I am on my 3rd right rear door speaker. When you turn it on, there is horrible loud static. After about 5 minutes or so it goes away. If the volume is turned down, it's still earth shattering loud.
I think the problem has got to be something else, I can't imagine that the same speaker keeps going out. They keep telling me they have checked the radio and wires.
This last speaker lasted about 2 days. Now I've got to drag it back to Ford.
This is my first Ford since my Pinto.....
Master Reset in the radio menu, I also restore defaults, and then pull the fuses (bottom and top most 20A fuses in the passenger footwell, in mine anyway) for about 30 minutes. I'm having intermittent issues with mine too....
