19.5 is a good option, but like you said, the cost. Other possible benefit would retreads on drive axles and the availability of different drive tread patterns.
If you're after height tho, why not a 235/85r16?
Figure an 8.00x16 is equivalent to a 225/75r16. 8.25r16 should be pretty close to that size, and there are some all terrain 10ply tires out there, and mid terrain. But those probably wouldn't last too long pulling.
But damn if 19.5 stuff isn't pricey.

'Cause that's what I run.
The 8.25 R16 is almost 34" tall where the 235/85R16 is about 31 1/2" tall.
