New trailer necessities?

Finally got the email today that my 2015 Palomino Puma Unleashed 351THSS is built and should be delivered to the dealer in the next two weeks. I'm certainly excited after 11 weeks of waiting so far...............not that camping season here quite yet in the NE.

My question is for those more experienced, what do I stock in the trailer? I've got a few things on my list so far, but coming from a pop up with no heat/ shower/ ac/ toilet I'm sure there's things I'm missing!

leveling blocks of some sort
sewer hose
fresh water hose
tp
level
ratchet/ socket for wheels
kingpin stabilizer
water pressure regulator?

I have a bunch of general camping gear, cooking utensils, pots/pans a 30 amp extension cord that I will be transferring from the popup. We are doing a spring delivery, so I have some time to gather things before I bring the trailer home. Plan on buying the ADCO designer series cover also. Though I've got a plan that may get it, and my truck a roof to sleep under in the next year or two. Time will tell. I will get some pics soon as I get my hands on it. Thanks!

I keep pretty much a full set of tools in my camper....that way I have them when I need them. Small 2 gallon air compressor. Electric pressure washer. I have a built in generator. 5500 watt

I keep a small electric heater for the cooler days. Helps cut back on propane usage. Also if it's not too late don't get the tv from them. You can get more for less by getting it on your own.

All the most important accessories in my trailer are related to food and cooking. However, I do plan on investing in a good quiet generator this year, as I'm rarely anywhere I can get shore power, and it's mighty inconvenient to realize you don't have enough power to run the furnace fan at 1:00 AM on a cool rocky mountain night.

Thanks for the ideas so far guys. Far as tools go, I didn't mention them, but as a mechanic, I don't leave home without. Small compressor isn't a bad idea either. I do have a small electric heater in the popup, guess I'll move that over too. TV, I did get it with the trailer, but just got the "standard" size. I couldn't see paying for an "upgrade" to a slightly bigger no name tv. Totally get what you're saying there. Far as the generator goes, I don't think we will be off the grid enough to justify what they wanted for a built in, so I plan on picking up a pair (1 standard and 1 companion) of Honda EU2000is's and a parallel cable for half the price.

don't forget the outside stuff, some chairs and big ground mat and I made a big step that goes under the trailer steps when parked. That way you don't have a big drop off after the last step.

Also make that two water hoses. Every once in awhile we will stay at a place that needs two. Or one just wants to leak so I will switch them.

From what I've seen, that's a great setup, and a good value. Nice to have something you can easily carry and lift in and out of the truck box or wherever you store it. Those Honda EU2000's are very quiet too, which is nice for anyone who camps near you.
If you do ever decide to upgrade to a built-in, they also have amazing resale value, at least around here.

First, congrats on your new purchase.

If it is a 50 amp trailer, you might want to invest in a 50 amp extension cord, in case you want to take advantage of all systems at once. They are stupid pricey, so check Craigslist.

Look into a good power protection. You will now have many expensive electronics you will want to protect. I use the following. It has many happy users. EMS-HW50C

They have 30 amp, if that is what you have.

Check out the tires that come with it and research them on the net. You may wish to replace immediately. Good thing, you can sell the originals if change is warranted.

Rear view camera's are nice to have. RVS-770613-213 | One Camera Rear View System with Quick Connect/Disconnect Kit | backup camera system | Rear View Safety

Look over the electrical system. I have a built in surge protector. So you might be covered on that one.

A couple of dog bones and a 110 adapter are handy.

Must be getting excited - I know I would be...

They may have been mentioned or inferred somewhere and I missed them -

@ A Heavy Duty bottle jack in case you need to jack up an axle on the trailer
@ Emergency triangles and flares
@ Fluid Film to undercoat the chassis
@ spare set of wheel bearings and grease (just in case)
@ TST Tire pressure monitoring system for trailer
@ Spare fuses and a small VOM meter along with test light
@ Extension wand / brush for washing the rig while on the road.. Bugs can bake in really bad...
@ I pulled the ladder off of my trailer and got a telescoping 16.5' ladder that really will hold my weight, plus I can move it around the trailer to where I need to be. It's heavier than the OEM ladder, but....

I'll try to come up with more...

Lots of good ideas so far. Senix, I never go without my chairs, but a nicer outside mat is a good idea. Will look into doing 2 hoses. Does 25' usually work or am I better with 50's? Wingdone, the trailer is 30 amp, decided against the 2nd A/C which would have made it 50 amp(did get the 15k unit). Hopefully that wasn't a bad call. Even the 30A cord I have wasn't cheap. I believe the tires will be the Westlakes, I'm going to try to get a year from them, just have enough money going out right now and rather not spend more. Will check into the surge protector also, I don't think it has one built in but I'll check before I order. Randy I know the truck bottle jack will work for the trailer, that's an easy one. Triangles are also a good one, I don't have any. I'm not going to jump into a tire pressure monitor quite yet. Fuses are a good idea along with light and meter, I have all the stuff that was in my jeep I'll just transfer over. I did get the oem ladder. Hopefully it'll hold me..................I think a lot of the big stuff is covered, but what about the septic/ black system? Any tips or pointers?

Get two of the 10' septic hoses with connections, that way you can take them apart if you don't need the full length. Also, look into some type of system to hold the hoses in the bumper, the little black plastic inserts don't last very well, I just lost my sewer hose yesterday driving down the Turnpike. Make sure you always have the septic treatment on hand, I like the liquid the best.

A good sized step ladder that folds is still a must. While the OEM ladder will get you on the roof you still need a ladder for those odd times.

I have three different septic hoses for mine. with a y splitter since I have two bathrooms. One never knows.

Also this new unit may come with cleanouts so that should be an easy thing to do but get some of the cleaner to pour in the tanks on occasion too.
