you may not want to alter this truck at all.if you need a hd truck go buy one.this one might be as rare as hens teeth.
Before you start investing in transmission and or gearing, what shape is the engine in?(compression/tune-up).
My(late)dad had 4 of these for his plumbing business, yes, they did exist. There are sill folks that say they didn't...lol. My nephew wrapped the last one around a phone pole last year, so no pics.
well as far as i know, this is the first time anyone's proven it?
To be honest, I really never thought much about it until a few years ago when a couple of folks around here started telling us that there was no such truck made. I thought that they were as common as anything else. Maybe it was a regional thing.
Had no clue it was that odd a truck. Someone want to buy it? Engine runs great. It is my only work truck most times when it is running it has a load on it.
I would like to move up to a Heavy Diesel truck but Just not ready to yet.
M5HD-W 5.720 could I just tear down the m50d and change out 1st to the gearing in the heavy truck?
I'm personally not familiar with a M5HD-W but if you need one to build and then swap out I have a M5OD you can build and bring me back your take out. It has a chipped tooth but you may be changing that anyway. A ZF would be way on better though.

That could work. You want to just sale the core? I am in the Lawndale area now. You maybe close by.
