I see a lot of talk about the Scan Gauge II monitor on here. I was looking on the net and I'm seeing Scan Gauge, Scan Gauge II, Scan Gauge II with Xgauge and tool tune. The Scan Gauge is about $125, Scan Gauge II and Scan Gauge II with Xgauge and tool tune is about $160. Question is......are the scan gauge IIs the same gauge just being advertised with more info for one versus the other? There was not much for description to determine this from either ad. Not sure if the Xgauge is correct but know it was X##### and tool tune.

 

get the one with the xgauges autozone sells them around $140 I think

You need the X gauge to read certain, important parameters.

get on line, go to advanced auto's web page and buy the scan gauge II on line. Then drive over to the store you choose as your store and pick it up, just bring the printed order with you. Use this code>> TRT30 <<< and get $50 off the price. That makes it about $109+tax out the door and using the above info, program the gauges yourself.

Watch this video by Diesel Tech Ron how to program the x-gauges, very easy.

What I did, total time from ordering to complete < 2 hours for all the x-gauges programmed.

 

Scan Gauge II then with the Above ford specific PIDs that you will have to enter , its a great little tool to have , it only holds 25 at a time so -
EOT,WCT, TFT, FICM mp, FICM lp, FICM vp,, BATT, VLT, ICP,ICPV, IPR,EBP, MAP, BST,EGR vp, EGR d, VGT, would be the Main ones to enter I leave a few for other PIDs to enter for test
