98 ranger need help
I bought a 98 ranger with a 3.0 blowed. So I put a newer 4.0 in it replaced motor ,trans ,and fuel pump along with other things. But I have put about 10,000 miles on it and now it wonts to run ruff. The light has been poped and it has some codes but it always has since we did the swap. When it is running in the drive way it dose fine for a couple of min but then it starts chunking like a big block. It use to clear up but now it dose it some when I'm going down the road. Please help would like to fix it before I break down. Thanks

What other things did you replace? Did you swap the ECM (computer) and related sensors? What year truck did the 4.0 come out of? Was there anything on the newer engine that didn't get hooked up (wiring, sensors, etc.)? Have you checked the fuel pressure? What codes are being generated?

Don't remember codes but one was cam position sen but computer was changed too we took the motor out of a 2000 or 2001 and all was done was wires were unhooked from fire wall and plugged back up. Then the fuel pump and lines were changed. Radiator motor mounts trans motor and computer. After it has its fit she will run great and lots of power. Don't know if it matters but the motor come out of a automatic truck but the rest come out of a 5 speed
