All in the truck, everything connected, but it didn't start very easily. Messed with the timing, adjusted the carb finally it started, no leaks, no over heating, but ran fairly horrible.
LOTS of blowby coming out of the oil breather. A compression check shows low on all cylinders. Slap wore out is my guess.
I was fixated on the wrong bearing issue, ignoring the cause of most rear seal leaks, excessive blowby. The heads were on the engine, I never took them off. I tried to cheap this engine just to get it running and there you go......failure.
PO said..."ran great, just had low oil pressure and leaked oil at the rear seal"
Moral of this story.....never take what the seller says as truth and don"t cheap your way through an engine like I did.
