When I first got my 2000 excursion (a couple of weeks ago), the windows would run after the ignition was off. Now, they won't. Any ideas on how to toggle that funtion on and off?
On my expedition there is some timing and logic around this function.
If I turn off the vehicle I can immediately roll down the window but not a minute later, nor can I do it after I have opened the door.
Is it possible that your vehicle could be similar?
I believe that the ten minutes is correct, as long as there is no door activity for that ten minutes. The power points continue to work though. Great for tailgating with TV at a football game!!! The interior lights go out so you dont waste the batteries. I think that as far as the radio and window controls it is interupted only when one of the front doors is opened.
That must be what it is... I tested it and it still works, I guess with the gang I have, someone is always opening a door before I get a chance to crack or close the windows so I have to turn the igntion back on....
In my 2004 Ford Excursion, only opening the front doors interrupts the 10-minute delay. The rear doors and hatch can be opened and the 10-minute delay is not interrupted.
