Having a head scratching problem. Last year my transfer case motor was getting sticky. (I thought). You would switch past A4WD to 4hi and nothing no noise at the case, hit the throttle and spin a tire making the A4WD kick in then the motor would engage and switch to 4hi or 4low if stopped in neutral. Just recently I have A4WD but it will not shift to 4hi or 4low. Figured it was the motor and swapped it for a new one. No difference. Check all the fuses ( I think all). Switch on dash does make the " step on brake to shift to 4 low" message appear so it would seem that works OK. Wires all seem good. From what I can find the computer that controls this is the main PCU. That would be bad. Anybody think of anything I missed. I don't have access to body code scanner. Thanks in advance.
Relays were good. Did some checking with the manual and the meter. Dash switch is OK. One more thing to test and if that's not it all signs lead to CPU. 8-(
