I'm going to clean my own injectors. Why? Because it involves buying a bunch of oddball parts from Home Depot and seems like a good challenge. The first part (I guess) is to compress about 8 psi though a pipe that has injector cleaner in it, and cycle the injectors quite a bit, and see what blows out. Part 2 is to open the injector (with voltage) and submerse it in a jewelry cleaner thing for 45 minutes. Seems like a LONG time for the injector to be open and holding voltage, maybe they meant 45 seconds.
In any case, I'm wondering if I should put injector cleaner in the ultrasonic tub, or use the normal "jewelry cleaner", which is a mixture of 1 cup of water, 1 tbsp of detergent, and 1 tbsp of ammonia... that doesn't seem right for a fuel injector!
45 minutes does seem far too long to sustain full voltage through the coil in a typical injector. They aren't built for continuous duty cycles. Additionally, stick with the solvents that are actually designed to do what you are attempting. These are merely my thoughts/opinions for what they are worth.
