mach stereo problems
I have a 1997 Expedition, Eddie Bauer, with the mach stereo system (cassette in the dash and six disc changer in the arm rest).
1. When I try to play cds, the system advances through every cd in the changer, then I get a "no disc" message and the radio comes back on.
2. I got in the truck the other day and the radio started playing, and then I heard a "pop" sound and a burning smell. The sub in the back stopped playing. Two minutes later, there wasn't any sound in any of the speakers. The tuner still displays the stations, but there isn't any hint of a sound coming out of the speakers.
Do you think this is economically repairable, or do I need to install an aftermarket system?
