my daughter has a 2002 explorer in which the a/c all of a sudden stop working. i checked the fuses for the a/c clutch in both fuse boxes. both were fine. switched the relays. that also checked out. also checked out the diode which was ok. could it be the switch in the dash? also checked the clutch to see if it was free. it was. any help out there would be appreciated. thanks in advance
If it has a 4.0 OHC they have a lot of problems with thier engine thermostats. If the engine overheats then the processor will cut off the A/C. It will work fine till the engine gets up to the hot point.
well, after all the troubleshooting at the dealer the problem was with the connection of the cd changer that was installed aftermarket. the connection was loose on the power side of the connection. back in business. thanks everyone.
