Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Quick fly by while I wait for some penetrating fluid to have an effect. Tomorrow I have the extreme privilege of driving into PDX and dropping my daughter and grandkids off for their flight. Seems like a bummer but Diana and I are greatly looking forward to a few days of fishing and peace and quiet.
Murphy prevails today. The bleed of the master cylinder for the surge brakes on the boat went great and was done in seconds. The front wheel on the starboard side has a leaking wheel cylinder and some lug nuts that apparently Les's boys torqued down to the impossible to remove range. Going to eat some dinner and then go attack the lug nuts again. Will be getting out my large breaker bar. Have to be able to get to the wheel cylinder.........
Howdy all.......cooler today...and supposed to be cooler yet tomorrow...got a few things accomplished. Now all we need to do is get through tomorrow.
Take care everyone.
198 miles on 101.....don't know how you do it Chris......drive safely.

Good morning all you Ford trucking Oregonians. I haven't posted here since forever ago but I was reminded of this site the other day when I bought a new (to me) truck, logged in and saw I was still subscribed to this friendly forum. Hope everyone is well. Did I miss anything?

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 42.2° with a very light scattered overcast.
Got the lug nut broken loose last night on the forward starboard boat trailer wheel, but now having problems getting the brake drum off so still no access to the wheel cylinder. Seems almost like I'm missing something...
Today is PDX day. Have to leave in a few minutes to run my daughter to the airport as she flies back to Grays Lake, Il. today. They have roughly another year at Great Lakes Naval Station and then I suppose the Navy will find someplace even farther away to station them...if we still have a Navy then.
Good afternoon Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Got home a little bit ago fromthat not so natural disaster they call Portland. Are we sure we can't give thatplace to Washington? Itis the pits that they make people check in so early for their flights and don'tallow dads / granddads in to visit with them for the one to two hours they haveto wait behind the security check points!

Took the scenic route going up including the Wheatland Ferry which the grandkids gota kick out of. Traffic was not too bad at all going. The return trip sucked!!! The traffic had increased from not too bad to a Red Alert disaster, I left my daughter and grandkids at the airport.....
Worked on the trailer brakes for a few minutes early this morning. Now we have somemajor showers moving through the area and the boat/trailer is outside ofcourse. Still haven't been able to get the starboard forward drum off. Going back out in a few to work on the problem.
Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Had a bit of a surprise this afternoon when I finally found the key to the particular type of brake assembly that is on the boat trailer.
Got the drum off and no brakes inside of it. Just a wheel cylinder that appears to have some type of slug that had fallen out and had to be put back in the plunger end of the cylinder with my rubber mallet. Have a bad zerk fitting in at least one bearing buddy so will take care of that as well as check out all the other wheels tomorrow. I'm guessing that either this is some type of a two wheel brake system or some type of tom foolery was being played by the previous owner.
