Morning Don, John and Tiny. The High school here is having a auction for shop equipment today; wood and auto shop. I think we will go see what we can get...

If the school is anything like the one I went to there will be some very good equipment to be had. Good luck.

Closing down those programs in the curriculum, are they?
Following the lead of most school districts today.
Guess they think nobody needs to build or take care of their cars.
Eventually, all shop classes are eliminated.
It's not the same world I grew up in...........

Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 37.3, rain showers and wet. Was 33 so I guess there is some improvement.

Consider yourself lucky, then, that the School Board isn't COMPLETELY retarded (or "progressive")!

Computer classes aren't necessarily a bad thing, unless they REPLACE shop classes. That's what the intent usually is, however.
We are not preparing our kids to do meaningful work, and it means, over-all, the end of our lifestyle as we once knew it.
We've seen the apex of American society unless the voting public can be convinced that they've taken a wrong turn. We've got to be able to MAKE things once-again.
But I digress..........

G'mornin' all.
Gonna' air up the tires and fill the fresh-water tank on our little travel trailer today.
We're spending this next week on the beach down in Orange County with other members of my family.
It's gotten to be an annual trip, with different destinations each year, and a get-away from the routine here. We leave tomorrow around noon.
Weather be damned!

That seasonal discomfort is MORE than made-up-for with your societal norms.
Unlike here............ (sigh)............
