Carb runs great, idles great, performance is back............one problem: hot/warm re-starts, have to crank the starter quite a bit and pump the gas to get it to fire........head-scratcher, new problem.

Choke is pulling too far closed. Back it off a bit. probably an electric choke, and the coil is burnt out.

Is it dripping down while sitting?
is the fuel bowl emptying itself?

I had an old quadrajet used to leak down and flood itself on a hot engine.
Take the air cleaner off and look down at the intake with the base throttle open, see if it's p'n while not running

I think this may be the problem, I haven't been able to check, but I see no other cause.
