Hood insulation kit
It came with 3/8" or 1/2"jude padding foil on the one side.
I am adding extra insulation with in the hood panels then cover it with another 1/4" layer from Keep Cool thermal fiberglass foam panels. under the jude padding.
The outer finish panel is 1/8" ploy that cover it all with a full layer 1/4" under it.
Got started so far pics to follow

Stripped all the rust and treated with rust reform then painted black then spray on under coating
before adding any insulation
This is with 2 layer of insulation with taped edges

Left over insulation so put it on makes 3 laters.

Over lay cover about 3/16 or 1/8 poly film
How I held the hood while getting it installed with out removing the hood. Used a magnet to find the braces for the screws. Kind of like a stud finder.

More to come Okay,
Found and bought this Logo on EBay,it will be glued and a fixed to the under side of my hood.
Jeff, I use to live & work in the desert for bout 12 yrs and was always prepared for a break down. Yep extra belts & Rad-hoses dual-batteries 3gallons water 5gals of gas, plus 30ft. 3/8" chain. 40ft of 5/8"poly rope, Army pick/shovel. And a CB radio with a 100 watt kicker.
A 48" High Jacker & A Come a long. Also had a switch on my Alternator to put out 120volts of AC power setup to an electrical plug outlet box. Had a 3gal. air tank mounted ubder the rear with onboard air from a vacuum air compressor.
This is a list of what stuff and what install or, I carried in my little 1964 International 4wd Scout was setup.
I traded my Scout for the Ford 71 4wd then changed over most of the stuff to the truck when, I got it then setup it up like the Scout when going out on the road or off road 99% of the time. As you know, you never know what will happen when your living out in the desert plus going off road.
And how not to become a victim of the desert land that you read about in the News Papers or on TV of not being able to savvied enough to make it out of the desert lands that take so many lives day and every year.as hundreds parish their. But not me! as I have helped many who tried to pay me for pulling them out of sand & flash floods and I said just help the next guy that needs help, it may be Me.
